Seven turnovers in the first preseason game. A fall that almost took out Jaylen Brown. Dave's been saying it since the Olympics: Joel Embiid's slower feet don't fit how fast the game is played now.
The Sixers don't need Embiid to be the focal point of the offense. They've got guys who are generationally good with the ball. They need him to rebound, protect the rim, switch out on the perimeter and catch the lob.
In this segment:
- What Dave saw from Embiid with the Olympic team
- 7 turnovers as a center, and falling all over your own teammate
- Why this roster needs a big who doesn't need the ball
- Will he even make it to the playoffs healthy?
- Why they still need him for Wemby and Portland's Clingan
- What is Embiid elite at without the ball? Tell us in the comments
"I like Joel Embiid. I just hope he figures it out."
